He went to Sweden “Stocksunds” when he was 16 to play for B Junior team. For A Juniors he joined “Almtuna” where he also managed to play few games for Allsvenskam league team. After a stint in Sweden Toms returns to play for Latvian team “Rīga 2000”. When KHL team “Dinamo Rīga” is formed he joins the team for a two year contract. Most of the time he is in farmteam that plays in Belarus league, but still manages to play seven games in KHL. After expiry of the contract Toms goes to United Kingdom to play in EIHL for “Newcastle Vipers”. He is an EIHL player for few seasons playing for teams like “Braehead Clan” and “Fife Flyers”. Last season before joining “Kurbads” is spent in Kazakhstan. Will play for second season for “Kurbads”. Probably one of the fastest Latvian Championship players. Is very annoying to play against.
