Started his junior career in Ogres youth school “Rītausma” where his coach was “Kurbads” player and coach Pēteris Ostošovs.
 He had 3 seasons playing for Leonids Tambijevs including one in MHL team HK “Rīga”. He has returned to play in hometown. Can make some unbelievable saves and also is a reliable last wall. His helmet is unique with special pictures of signs of Latvian folklore – the main part of that being the son of a horse – Kurbads!
